Oohhh, what crafty crafts!

I went to the One of a Kind craft show in Toronto on the weekend. I hadn't been in a long time and figured that it would take two hours, maybe three if we sat down and had a coffee and a snack. Six hours later, never having sat down once, I staggered outside, my mind full of neat projects and cool ideas.

Some of my favourites:

Artech Glassblowing - they turn your favourite beer bottle into a beer glass. Imagine serving a pitcher of martinis in an Absolut pitcher. http://www.artechstudios.ca/

U.S.E.D. - talk about recycling! They create purses and bags out of seat belts straps, complete with a seat belt buckle. http://www.recycledseatbelts.ca/

Sailorgirl Jewelry - I met Catherine Winter when taking her class about starting a jewelry business two years ago. Now I follow her beautiful handmade lampwork beads at craft shows and online. http://www.sailorgirl.com/

Lots of hats, but especially this one - Gwendolyne Hats - because the fabrics are just amazing. http://www.gwendolynehats.com/

Inspiration can come from anywhere!
